Yesterday, Feb. 1st, the Prime Minister of Belize Said Musa arrived on Caye Caulker and along with representatives from BWS & the Belize Rural South representative, officially broke ground for the construction of the new Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment plant for the island. "the very best equipment" he says. Long promised to islanders, at least for a decade now by his administration, this ceremony appears to be the real deal with all pomp & circumstance, signed & sealed but yet to be delivered - 6 days before he may or may not get re-elected to lead the country again. I'll be the first to thank him after I open my tap and get clean water.
