Heading towards Belize City in our boat this morning, we encountered a dense moist thick fog which is highly unusual for Belize. This obviously presented a problem for boaters on the water as well as pilots in the air since this kind of weather can disorient even the most skilled pilots and boat captains.
Nevertheless, we made it to the city an hour later than usual and encountered many temporarily "lost" boats in the process. The visibility was at best 100 ft or less most of the way!
