DOCUMENTARY PRESERVING HISTORY OF CAYE CAULKER FILMED BY VOLUNTEERS

I have just had an amazing experience being part of a  production with a great team of volunteers.
We spent the past week conducting interviews with about a dozen local islanders some in the mid 80's, in an attempt to capture the island's history & culture before it is all but lost.

As Mrs. Aurora Perez, 86 years (Mrs. LOLA) says:  " There are only about 14 of us left that can really recall the very early days of the island!"

One notable question asked was "what changes have you seen in the last 10 years?" and you know what?????

NOT ONE PERSON MENTIONED THE HUGE INFLUX OF CHINESE PEOPLE AND BUSINESS' ON THE ISLAND....!!!  Ha! Guess they fly under the radar - yet everywhere!

I heard so many interesting stories, some I had been familiar with since I grew up on this tiny little island myself, but many I had not heard before.
Now, I anxiously await the final product of which I will share with you first!

Tina,
Thanks for you valuable contribution to this project! BTW...you have Brie and Joni's names reversed. Looks like you copied this from CC chronicles?
